Your Savannah performing arts guide. Everything you need. All in one place.

This is the guide I wish existed when we started. The coaches, studios, photographers, theaters, and opportunities that actually matter. Vetted by a local family who made the calls, took the classes, and figured it out so you don't have to.

SAVANNAH, GA · PERFORMING ARTS RESOURCE GUIDE

Things don't have to be expensive, and they're only worth it when you're truly ready for the next step. This guide is organized around how performers actually move through the arts, not how the industry wants to sell it to you.

Fall in love first. The rest will follow.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

1

Start somewhere low pressure. Savannah's Children's Theater is a great first step for performers of any age. Don't let the name fool you. Their MainStage productions are a true community theater open to children AND adults, and it's one of the best places in Savannah to make connections, build confidence, and figure out if you want to take things further.

2

Expand when you're ready. Private coaching, dance studios, voice lessons. When the passion is real, these investments pay off. Not before.

3

Get serious with the right tools. Headshots, a résumé, an agent. When it's time, you'll know. And this guide will be ready.

A group of people, including a woman sitting at a table and a man sitting across from her, are being filmed or photographed by a crew. The crew members are holding professional lighting and camera equipment, and a person is adjusting the lighting. The atmosphere appears to be casual, with some individuals engaging in conversation or waiting for their turn.

Opportunities

JUST GETTING STARTED

Start small and low pressure. Community theater is one of the best first steps for performers of any age. Take a class, do a camp, audition for a production. It's a great way to make connections, build confidence, and figure out if you want to take things further. Check out our Community section for local theaters in the Savannah area.

READY TO GET SERIOUS

Already past the basics?

When you know you're ready to invest in coaching, headshots, and representation here's what you actually need. No guesswork, no wasted money.

WHO BUILT THIS

A Savannah parent who’s been there.

I'm a connector by nature and a firm believer that access to opportunity shouldn't depend on who you already know. So when I kept getting asked the same questions - who's the best voice coach, how do you get into a SCAD film, where do you even start - building this guide felt like the obvious next step.
